Product Description
As a premier manufacturer and global supplier of structural bridge components, we engineer the High-Strength Bailey Pin to serve as the critical fastening core for rapid truss assembly. Crafted for heavy-duty load transfer, these pins guarantee steadfast stability in demanding engineering environments.
Engineered from premium alloy steel for superior shear capacity and impact resistance.
Precision-machined to exact tolerances for seamless, tool-free manual insertion.
Treated with advanced anti-corrosion coatings to ensure maximum longevity in harsh climates.
Direct-from-manufacturer sourcing guarantees unparalleled cost-efficiency and consistent quality control.
The High-Strength Bailey Pin stands as the quintessential fastening device engineered to unite truss panels with uncompromising structural integrity. When handling these pins on-site, the substantial weight and smooth, cold metallic finish immediately convey the rigorous forging and meticulous heat-treatment processes they undergo. Each pin is expertly crafted to slide seamlessly into interlocking male and female panel holes, producing a satisfying, precise fit that eliminates the need for heavy machinery or specialized tools during critical bridge erection phases. By serving as the primary hinge connection, these robust pins flawlessly transmit immense shear forces across the entire bridge framework, ensuring that heavy vehicular traffic and dynamic structural loads are distributed evenly and safely across the span.
Beyond mere connection, this critical fastener acts as the lifeline of modular bridge systems, actively accommodating subtle environmental shifts. The intelligently designed fit clearance permits a microscopic degree of rotation, absorbing the stress of extreme temperature fluctuations and natural foundation settlement without compromising the overall rigidity of the bridge. With a chamfered tip guiding the initial insertion and a precisely milled groove securing the retaining ring, construction crews experience a frictionless, highly intuitive assembly process. This thoughtful engineering transforms labor-intensive bridge building into a streamlined, highly predictable operation, ultimately saving valuable time and labor resources on remote, demanding, or emergency job sites.

Our Bailey pins are engineered to redefine operational efficiency and structural reliability for large-scale bridge deployment. By focusing on the exact technical requirements of rapid infrastructure development, we deliver a fastening solution that consistently outperforms standard market alternatives.
Tool-Free Rapid Deployment: The ergonomic chamfered tip allows field operators to intuitively align and insert the pin manually, drastically cutting down erection time during critical infrastructure projects.
Fail-Safe Locking Mechanism: A deeply milled end groove perfectly accommodates a high-tension ring lock, providing an audible and visual confirmation that the pin is permanently secured against vibration-induced withdrawal.
Dynamic Stress Absorption: Engineered to allow a micro-rotation of ≤0.02 rad, the pin acts as a mechanical shock absorber, gracefully handling the natural expansion, contraction, and settling of the bridge foundation.
Exceptional Core Toughness: Through a specialized quenching and tempering process, the pin achieves a formidable surface hardness while maintaining a ductile core, preventing catastrophic brittle fractures under sudden impact loads.
When sourcing load-bearing fasteners for critical infrastructure, safety and uncompromising strength are paramount. Our Bailey pins are forged from top-tier high-strength alloy steels, specifically 40Cr, 35CrMo, and 42CrMo, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of heavy-duty engineering and continuous stress.
Massive Shear Resistance: Designed to withstand extreme shear forces reaching several hundred kilonewtons, these pins maintain the absolute structural integrity of the entire truss system under heavy vehicular or equipment loads.
Optimized Hardness Profile: A precise heat-treatment regimen results in a surface hardness of HRC 32–38. This creates a highly wear-resistant outer shell combined with a remarkably tough internal core, effectively resisting both abrasion and sudden impact.
Extended Fatigue Endurance: Rigorously tested in controlled laboratory environments to endure up to 2 million continuous load cycles, these fasteners guarantee long-term stability, eliminating the risk of premature mechanical failure in high-traffic permanent bridges.
Bridge components are perpetually subjected to harsh outdoor elements, from torrential rains to corrosive marine environments. To combat environmental degradation, our pins bypass standard blackening processes in favor of advanced, highly durable protective coatings.
Premium Galvanization: A thick, uniform layer of zinc coating acts as a robust sacrificial barrier, preventing moisture and oxygen from reaching the alloy steel core, thereby halting rust formation in its tracks.
Advanced Dacromet Technology: For the most unforgiving environments, our Dacromet coating offers superior passivation and cathodic protection, delivering exceptional resistance to salt spray, humidity, and chemical corrosion.
Reduced Maintenance Overheads: By significantly extending the lifespan of each pin in damp or corrosive conditions, these protective finishes lower the frequency of component replacement, driving down the long-term maintenance costs for permanent bridge installations.
Construction teams operating on tight schedules require components that fit perfectly on the first attempt without forced adjustments. We manufacture our Bailey pins with exacting dimensional tolerances to guarantee seamless interoperability with standard structural panels.
Micrometer-Level Fit Clearance: Controlled strictly between 0.3 mm and 1.0 mm, the clearance between the pin and the panel hole strikes the perfect balance—loose enough for smooth manual insertion, yet tight enough to prevent structural rattling under load.
Universal Compatibility: Precisely dimensioned at 49.5 mm or 50 mm in diameter, these pins are flawlessly tailored to integrate with standard SJ-200 and SJ-321 Bailey panels without the need for on-site modifications or re-drilling.
Accelerated Emergency Erection: The combination of the chamfered leading edge and the secure ring-lock groove empowers crews to perform "zero-tool" assembly. This intuitive design is crucial for shaving hours off the construction timeline during time-sensitive emergency rescue operations.
Installation Method Recommendation
First of all, an experienced construction team should be assigned to undertake the erection of the bridge.
We have studied the drawings of the erection site and surrounding area, and conclude that the installation site is spacious and flat,so we recommend the installation procedure as follows:
Assemble the bilateral bailey panels to two whole construction, including the lower chord reinforced、horizontal bracing、vertical bracing、male and female end post. every assembling unit is mainly composed by 27 pieces of bailey panel
Meanwhile, the bridge bearings are installed on the abutment. note that:check the length of the single whole bailey truss and the distance between the bolts of the two side of the river, if not fit , adjust the bolts.
Use suitable lorry-mounted crane to lift the two assembling truss unit and place them on the two side abutments.the single combined truss unit is weight about 11tons and 27.4 m length.
Install the transom, please refer the video.for the weight of one piece of transom is about not more than 1 ton,so it need a small crane. In order to increase the stability of the structure during the erection, the nearest transom and the farthest transom, as far as possible according to the capacity of the crane, should be installed first, then for other transoms between them.
Install the sway bracing, then pave the first row in width direction of bridge decking on the transoms, including the side and middle bridge decking.
Meanwhile, install the upper chord reinforced to strengthen the structure, then the crane could move onto the bridge decking to install the following ahead transoms, similar ways like upper procedure to be perform.
The rest can be done in the same manner.
Final, install the upper chord reinforced、curb、gap plate、handrail、 connective plate and handrail column.
The true value of our fastening system lies in its unparalleled adaptability across a vast spectrum of engineering challenges. Whether establishing temporary emergency access or building permanent heavy-duty thoroughfares, these pins provide the vital linkage.
