Installation Method Recommendation

First of all, an experienced construction team should be assigned to undertake the erection of the bridge.

We have studied the drawings of the erection site and surrounding area, and conclude that the installation site is spacious and flat,so we recommend the installation procedure as follows:

  1. Assemble the bilateral bailey panels to two whole construction, including the lower chord reinforced、horizontal bracing、vertical bracing、male and female end post. every assembling unit is mainly composed by 27 pieces of bailey panel

    Meanwhile, the bridge bearings are installed on the abutment. note that:check the length of the single whole bailey truss and the distance between the bolts of the two side of the river, if not fit , adjust the bolts.

  2. Use suitable lorry-mounted crane to lift the two assembling truss unit and place them on the two side abutments.the single combined truss unit is weight about 11tons and 27.4 m length.

  3. Install the transom, please refer the video.for the weight of one piece of transom is about not more than 1 ton,so it need a small crane. In order to increase the stability of the structure during the erection, the nearest transom and the farthest transom, as far as possible according to the capacity of the crane, should be installed first,  then for other transoms between them.

  4. Install the sway bracing,then pave the first row in width direction of bridge decking on the transoms, including the side and middle bridge decking.

    Meanwhile, install the upper chord reinforced to strengthen the structure,then the crane could move onto the bridge decking to install the following ahead transoms,similar ways like upper procedure to be perform.

  5. The rest can be done in the same manner.

  6. Final, install the upper chord reinforced、curb、gap plate、handrail、 connective plate and handrail column.
