Product Description
As a premier manufacturer and direct supplier of heavy-duty infrastructure components, we engineer the 250-Connecting Plate for Bailey Panels to meet the most rigorous structural demands. Crafted from premium high-strength steel, this linkage component is the definitive solution for uniting truss chords with absolute precision.
Material Excellence: Forged from 10–20 mm thick high-grade steel for maximum load-bearing capacity.
Extreme Precision: Machined with a strict ≤ ±0.5 mm hole spacing tolerance for flawless modular integration.
Versatile Application: Essential for longitudinal splicing, transverse combinations, and reinforcing main chords.
Enhanced Durability: Features meticulously chamfered edges and anti-slip surface treatments to resist fatigue and environmental wear.
The connecting plate, universally recognized as a link plate, stands as the critical steel component meticulously engineered to unite the chords of two or more Bailey panels seamlessly. Forged from robust 10 to 20 mm thick steel plates, each piece boasts precisely drilled holes and flawlessly machined edges that speak to unparalleled industrial craftsmanship. When handling the component, the smooth, chamfered edges reflect a deliberate design aimed at mitigating stress concentration under severe fatigue loads, ensuring the metal remains resilient even under continuous heavy-duty traffic. This is not merely a piece of hardware; it is the structural backbone that transfers axial forces—both tension and compression—and shear across multiple panels, transforming separate units into a formidable, continuous integral truss.
Whether deployed in longitudinal splicing to securely cover the butt joints of adjacent panel chords or utilized in transverse combinations for double and triple-row configurations, the plate guarantees cooperative lateral action. The contact surfaces are prepared to exacting standards, stripped clean of any residual oil or rust, and coated with premium anti-slip or anti-corrosion paint to ensure maximum friction and long-term stability. By securing reinforced chords to main chords, it forms a composite section capable of withstanding immense structural pressure. For high-force nodes, double-sided or double-plate configurations are employed, locked in with high-strength bolts torqued to a precise 400 N·m, ensuring your bridge networks remain unyielding against the test of time, weather, and extreme operational loads.

Our connecting plates are engineered to solve complex structural challenges, providing procurement teams and project engineers with reliable, high-performance components that guarantee project success.
Optimized Load Distribution: Effectively transfers tension, compression, and shear forces across multiple panels, preventing localized structural failure.
Seamless Longitudinal Splicing: Expertly covers butt joints of adjacent panel chords, securing them tightly with chord bolts or pins to achieve expansive spans, such as combining six panels for an 18.3 m span.
Transverse Cooperative Action: Connects side-by-side chords in double or triple-row setups, enabling deck widths of 2.0 m or 3.0 m with perfect lateral stability.
Composite Section Formation: Fixes reinforced chords directly to main chords, exponentially increasing the bending capacity of the entire bridge framework.
Adaptable Transom Connection: Specially designed to adapt and secure transoms to Bailey panels, ensuring a rigid and safe decking foundation.
The foundation of any enduring infrastructure lies in its material composition. We utilize only top-tier steel to manufacture components that project managers can trust implicitly under the most demanding conditions.
Premium Steel Grades: Manufactured utilizing Q355B or higher-grade steel, ensuring the yield strength is always greater than or equal to the main chord steel.
Advanced Stress Relief: The edges of every drilled hole undergo extensive chamfering or specialized heat treatment to dissipate stress concentration, crucial for surviving high-fatigue dynamic loads.
Heavy-Duty Node Reinforcement: For exceptionally high-force structural nodes, we offer specialized double-sided or double-plate designs that multiply the connection's load-bearing threshold.
Unyielding Fastening Power: Designed to accommodate Grade 8.8 M20×50 bolts, capable of sustaining a torque of approximately 400 N·m without deformation.
In large-scale construction, time is dictated by how well components fit together on-site. Our modular approach eliminates guesswork, ensuring every plate aligns with absolute perfection.
Micrometer Precision: Hole patterns and dimensions are engineered to precisely match Bailey chords, with a rigorously controlled hole spacing tolerance of ≤ ±0.5 mm.
Comprehensive Specification Range: Our lineup includes standard plates, 450 plates (for 450 mm spacing), 900 plates (for 900 mm spacing), and specialized end plates for end post connections.
Vertical Integration: Perfectly serves as vertical link plates between upper and lower chords in complex double-deck bridge architectures.
Seamless Upgrades: Ideal for bridge widening or rehabilitation projects, allowing new structural panels to be spliced flawlessly with existing older frameworks.
Different environments demand different operational protocols. Our connecting plates are designed with an inherent versatility that adapts to your specific project constraints, whether permanent or temporary.
Permanent Infrastructure: For long-term bridge installations, the plates are optimized for use with high-strength bolts and thread-locking adhesives to ensure zero loosening over decades.
Emergency Rescue Operations: Time is critical during disaster relief. Our plates are fully compatible with emergency quick-lock devices, bypassing traditional bolting to save precious hours.
Military Deployments: Specifically adapted for tactical military bridges, supporting tool-free manual locking mechanisms that allow rapid, silent assembly in the field.
Targeted Node Reinforcement: An indispensable tool for retrofitting, allowing engineers to add plates directly at identified weak nodes to instantly restore structural integrity.

Yes, we provide comprehensive support including detailed drawings, step-by-step manuals, and instructional videos. On-site supervision is also available upon request, backed by our 24-hour after-sales service. First of all, an experienced construction team should be assigned to undertake the erection of the bridge. Assuming a spacious and flat installation site, we recommend the following installation procedure:
Assemble the bilateral bailey panels into two whole constructions, including the lower chord reinforced, horizontal bracing, vertical bracing, and male/female end posts. Each assembling unit is typically composed of 27 pieces of bailey panel. Meanwhile, install the bridge bearings on the abutment. Note: carefully check the length of the single whole bailey truss and the distance between the bolts on the two sides of the river; if they do not fit, adjust the bolts accordingly.
Use a suitable lorry-mounted crane to lift the two assembling truss units and place them precisely on the two side abutments. A single combined truss unit weighs approximately 11 tons and is 27.4 m in length.
Install the transom (please refer to our provided video). Because the weight of one piece of transom is not more than 1 ton, a small crane is sufficient. To increase the stability of the structure during erection, the nearest transom and the farthest transom (as far as possible according to the crane's capacity) should be installed first, followed by the other transoms between them.
Install the sway bracing, then pave the first row in the width direction of the bridge decking on the transoms, including both the side and middle bridge decking. Meanwhile, install the upper chord reinforced to strengthen the structure. The crane can then move onto the secured bridge decking to install the subsequent transoms ahead, performing similar procedures as above.
The remaining sections of the bridge can be completed in the exact same manner, advancing sequentially.
Finally, install the upper chord reinforced, curbs, gap plates, handrails, connective plates, and handrail columns to complete the structural integrity and safety features of the bridge.
